Prevent weld spatter build up
Apply 2-4 mils of this paste to prevent spatter from building up on weld fixtures and otherequipment. This product protects fixtures by forming a solid impenetrable film. Simply use an air hose to remove weld slag from the prepared surface. AS-99 is supplied ready to use and dries in two hours.
Protecting Weld Fixtures
Most weld fixtures are intended to fit gauges and repetitive weld assemblies. As weld slag occurs from high temperatures (1200°F), molten metal falls onto the gauge and sticks, causing parts to misgauge. Metal Mates AS-99 Anti-Spatter Compound will prevent the slag buildup and prevent misgauged parts.
