Biobased
- These lubricants are manufactured from premium oils derived from plants. Not only do plant-based oils offer better lubricating properties than mineral-oils, they help foster more sustainable manufacturing by reducing petroleum consumption.
Very Low VOC Levels
- These products have been independently tested for Volatile Organic Compounds using test method ASTM E-1868-10 and have VOC levels significantly below the accepted SCAQMD Rule 1144 standards for metal removal fluids.
Non-Toxic & Non-Hazardous
- Our environmentally-preferred products contain only ingredients listed in the TSCA (Toxic Substance Control Act) registration as non-toxic and no ingredients are subject to SARA (Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act) reporting.
- Many of the harshest chemicals in traditional coolant are performance additives and biocides. Since these lubricants are made from plant-based oils with very high lubricating properties they donât need additives to increase performance, and none of these products contain biocides.
Reduce or Eliminate Waste
- Unlike traditional flood coolants, which need to be disposed of as hazardous waste after useable coolant life-span is over, these lubricants are used up during the cutting or grinding process.
Lower Carbon Emissions
- In a six month period the average customer is able to replace 55 gallons of coolant concentrate, roughly the equivalent to 1,100 gallons of working flood coolant, with only 5 gallons of these minimum quantity lubricants. By significantly reducing the amount of fluid used, customers save a lot on shipping and reduce associated carbon emissions.
Improve Scrap Metal Recycling
- When metal chips are created during a cutting process using flood coolant they end up in the sump or in a wet, sticky mess in the machine, making recycling very difficult. Chips made with these lubricants are cleaner, drier, and easier to recycle.
